Thanks to old fan, friend and old guitarist from Trouble Girl, Fi, and the Twitter-ings of @gigsyoumissed, managed to find this little gem recently 🙂

Clifton Hill Hotel was an awesome and interesting venue, we played a few gigs there over our time and all the foldbacks were in ceiling-mounted speakers aiming straight down at the band – Maniacal setup, but crystal clear for bands to hear everything.

Mortar Sandwich I remember a brilliant punk rock 3 piece, their guitarist and singer was a brickie and I had no idea what a Mortar Sandwich was. He very patiently explained to me it’s two bricks cemented together with mortar, hence Mortar Sandwich.

And Problem popped up on this gig as well 🙂

I remember another night there with another couple of Melbourne bands kicking around at the time, Jaded Bliss was one of them, I think The Emerald Sea might have been there too?

Anyway, huge thanks and love to Fi for finding this, and to @gigsyoumissed for their work, nice one guys…
